And India's only JEEP forum, Jeep_Thrills, is paying tribute to this versatile vehicle by organising its annual offroad Event - The PALAR CHALLENGE.
To be held from 12 to 15 August 2006, the trip is an off-road adventure covering a total of about 500 km on all kinds of tough terrain.
It's a chance to really put your 4WD through its paces — from making river crossings to roughing it out on sandy and rocky terrain to slogging through marshy land.
4WD from across the country are welcome to participate in this four-day event. Each vehicle cannot carry more than two adults and one child above the age of 12. Drivers will be briefed about the route as well as be given driving and safety tips and guidelines.
So if you love your 4X4 and are ready to push it to its limits, register for the Jeep_Thrills PALAR CHALLENGE
